QUETTA: Nawabzada Balach Marri was reportedly laid to rest temporarily at an undisclosed place, said Balach Marri's brother Guzain Marri on Friday.

Talking to this scribe on telephone, Guzain Marri said that Balach's friends told him that Balach was laid to rest temporarily but he was not informed about the exact location due to unavoidable circumstances.

Gazain Marri said that Balach's body would be brought to the ancestral graveyard in Kahan whenever the situation in Balochistan would be normal. Presently war-like situation prevails in the province, he added.

Meanwhile a group of local people reportedly gathered to offer prayers in absence for Balach Marri in Kohlu but their attempt was foiled. Law enforcing agencies arrested a group of people and deployed personnel in the ground where people were gathered to offer prayers.

Qadir Magsi pays tributes to Balach Marri

KARACHI: Sindh Taraki Pasand Party (STPP) chairman Dr Qadir Magsi has paid rich tributes to the sacrifices rendered by Balach Marri and said that Sindhis and Balochs consider Balach Marri as their ideal.

This was stated by Dr Qadir Magsi in his condolence meeting with Mawab Khair Bux Marri held at the residence of the latter at Karachi Friday.

Dr Magsi said that with the martyrdom of Balach Marri the nationalist movement of Balochs and Sindhis had been infused with new spirit.

He said that Balach Marri sacrificed his life for the sake of principles and motherland but not for power. He said those who were of the view that Balochs and Sindhis can be silenced with the power of gun were mistaken.

In the response, Nawab Marri expressed satisfaction that a Sindhi nationalist has called on him. The meeting continued for about 40 minutes.

According to STPP sources, Nawab Marri had some reservations on PONM but Dr Magsi gave detailed explanations in case of all those points raised by Nawab Marri to this effect.

According to Dr Magsi, during the detailed exchange of views between them, Nawab Marri agreed that all oppressed nationalities should launch joint struggle.
